The Rooms at Woody Point is ideally situated for those looking to explore the unique and breathtaking landscapes of Gros Morne National Park. The Park is a world Unesco Heritage site for two reasons: scientists proved tectonic plate theory in the the Tablelands, and Green Point is where they identified The ORDOVICIAN/CAMBRIAN divide - where life began on earth.
Important Travel Information
The Park is HUGE, spanning both the South and North side of Bonne Bay, there is A LOT of driving between the many beautiful and fabulous wonders located throughout. We are located on the South side of the Park-- The Tablelands are just minutes away from The Rooms. However, sites like Gros Morne Mountain, Green Point and the iconic Western Brook Pond Boat Tour are on the North side. We recommend you plan your accommodations to spend two days on each side of The Park. And, if it's you intention to travel on up to the see The Vikings in St Anthony, departing from your accommodations on the North Side of the park makes the most logistical sense.
